My best friend, (R’chel – another demonstrator) and I have been speculating for the last month or so on what we think the new IN COLORS for 2022-2024 are going to be, much like other people speculate about the Oscars. So, there are mild spoilers ahead, but not giving it all away until the actual release.
The outgoing In Colors (2020-2022) are popular and included a very often used Misty Moonlight. Replacing this with a rich blue like Skydiver would be a good choice. (ETA: Starry Sky ? )
Bumblebee is a good yellow, and replacing it with something similar to Illuminating (Pantone 2021 Color of the Year) would be a good call. (ETA: WRONG! ? No Yellows this year. )
Ultimate Grey (Pantone 2021 Color of the Year) has a hinted equivalent in the new In colors at this point. (ETA: Oh, didn’t realize today’s pick was a greyscale teaser, not a grey. We’ll still have to see what this color is intended to be.) I’m not really expecting it, because Stampin’ Up! has a good array of neutrals. I like it, though, and see it being featured prominently through the year. This would be replacement for Cinnamon Cider, a color I am sad to see go. It was also featured prominently in the HEART & HOME-SUITE COLLECTION. (ETA: WRONG! ? No Neutrals this year. )
Fruit Dove (dark pink) from the above (Pantone) palette also has an announced equivalent. It looks very similar to Strawberry Slush from the 2013-2015 (my favorite) IN Color palette. I think it is a good replacement for Magenta Madness. It also goes nicely with last year’s Polished Pink. (ETA: Ok, I knew this one, and didn’t exactly guess Sweet Sorbet ? )
R’chel and I were totally rooting for something similar to Peacock Blue. However, instead there is a spring/apple-type green (ETA: Parakeet Party ? ) that will make a nice accompaniment to the palette of Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen from last year’s In Colors. (ETA: HaHaHa Both right and wrong. There is this green, but also Tahitian Tide ? )
(ETA: Similar to the groupings of last year’s in color palette, we rounded off a very matchy palette this year with another blue-ish color. This was actually my ultimate wishlist color! I wanted a blue-purple/periwinkle color, and we got it with Orchid Oasis \o/)
This is a reminder, though, if you want any cardstock or products from the outgoing IN Colors, now is the time to scoop them up!
